The owner and director of the practice is J. Silverberg, Ph.D. Dr. Silverberg is a licensed psychologist in Delaware, other states, Canada and the Caribbean.  He received his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa in 1975 with concentrations in counseling and psychiatry. He is a certified school psychologist in Missouri and Illinois. He has been in clinical practice for over 30 years and has a broad range of interests and extensive clinical experience.

While he has been involved in the management and treatment of patients presenting a diverse array of clinical syndromes, he has particular expertise in the areas of depression, anxiety disorders, marriage and family counseling, the treatment of alcoholism and other chemical-dependency problems, and the management of children with attention deficit disorders. Throughout most of his career, he has been the Director of his own private practice group located in St. Louis, MO ( Affiliated Psychological Services ). Dr. Silverberg has held positions as Director of both inpatient and outpatient chemical-dependency treatment programs, school psychologist, consulting psychologist at private psychiatric facilities, Director of training and research and supervising psychologist at community mental health clinics.

He has often been called upon to appear as an expert witness in divorce and custody litigation, and he is currently involved in writing a book about marriage.
