We are deeply committed to the belief that quality of life issues are are extraordinarily important to the individual so that they may maximize the levels of effectiveness, gratification and success to which most aspire. As people work toward the achievement of their personal life priorities, it is not uncommon to encounter circumstances and conditions that may interfere with the achievement of their life goals.

Our practice prefers to view such barriers to personal fulfillment as due to “problems in living” and we believe that most possess the capacity to move beyond those barriers to achieve a more functional and gratifying state of being. While we are prepared to address personal problems which may involve psychological symptoms that require medication or other medical intervention, normally the concerns which exist can be remedied through the psychotherapeutic and counseling process. We utilize a broad spectrum of theoretical systems in order to try to determine how we can best assist each unique individual more successfully.

Our emphasis is on a short-term treatment model that presupposes that each person possesses the ability to suitably resolve their personal issues, given the guidance and direction of a competent therapist. We believe it is our responsibility to provide the contact within which each client may achieve a maximum level of personal satisfaction and to encourage emotional independence and self-sufficiency. We strive to enable each client to assertively pursue their chosen path so that the personal fulfillment so passionately sought can become achievable.
